You Need to be heard…………..
Focusrite Scarlet

I have never been a fan of the USB microphones, so an interface is my way to get audio into the computer. The Scarlet Bundle from Focusrite came with headphones, a microphone, and the interface. Add you stand of choice and for right at $200 you are good to go for recording a single person.
The downfall I have found is that it being a USB powered device means that more than a single device needing phantom power you end up coming up short. But for say my guitar and a mic it is great.
PreAmp
Cloudlifter
Some microphones that do not need power will not be very loud and will need a little help. The Rode Procaster for example, this is where the cloud lifter comes in.

DO NOT cheap out and try to buy a clone of this, you will regret it. Also do not have your phone near it when doing voice overs as you will hear some noise every time you get a text, FB alert, ect…. If it id during pauses you could edit them out, but mid word you don’t have many options but leave it in or re-record.
